The devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was deeply felt across the country. As the residents of New Orleans rebuilt their city, many searched the country for the pets that were separated from them. MINE follows the ordeal of pet-owners seeking to be reunited with their beloved pets. Some end in heart-warming, tearful reunions while others are complicated by custody battles with the adopters of their rescued pets. It’s an emotional film that resonates not only with pet-owners, but with all who felt the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. I scored this film with Todd Boekelheide and Mark Orton (of Tin Hat Trio).
